FR Control 2.0 Balaclava

National Safety Apparel's FR Control 2.0® Balaclava is made of a breathable, inherently flame resistant modacrylic blend fabric designed to wick moisture away from your body and regulate skin temperature in both hot and cold conditions. The FR Control 2.0 Balaclava will keep you comfortable and dry in any condition. The lightweight hood is perfect for FR daily wear that can be used under a hard hat.

Comfort is just as important as safety when it comes to arc-rated FR headwear. FR Control 2.0® technology is designed so that you can wear FR layers that are comfortable in any condition indoors or outdoors. The FR Control 2.0 FR Balaclava proactively regulates your skin temperature in both warm and cold conditions under hard hats, FR hoods and other arc flash PPE headwear +/- 3 degrees. Those are just a few of the qualities that make our FR Control 2.0 Balaclava a great choice for FR daily wear and as an FR base layer. The technology controls your temperature +3 or -3 in either condition and reduces perspiration by as much as 34%, starting as soon as you start perspiring.

The blend of modacrylic fibers make the balaclava inherently flame resistant. This means that it gives you FR head protection that will not wash out, keeping you safe and compliant with NFPA 70E requirements for arc flash and ASTM F1506 for arc flash. You can worry about the task at hand while the proactive moisture wicking technology reduces perspiration up to 34% away from your head and face once you begin perspiring. It will absorb the moisture from your head and force it to the exterior of the balaclava. The FR balaclava provides you with arc rated head protection of 4 cal/cm2 and meets standards for CSA Z462 for Arc Flash, NFPA 70E for Arc Flash, OSHA 1910.269 and ASTM F1506 for Arc Flash. It helps keep you comfortable, cool or warm, safe and compliant.

FR Control 2.0 Balaclava Instructions

1. READ THE GARMENT LABEL AND LAUNDER PER INSTRUCTIONS ON GARMENT LABEL.
2. DO NOT use chlorine bleach or detergents containing bleach. DO NOT use fabric softeners. DO NOT iron. DO NOT dry clean.
3. Wash/Laundering Instructions: Machine wash warm. Tumble dry low.
4. Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, oils, etc.
5. If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of garment.
